PC VS. MAC
So, this morning I got up and I was trying to think about what I was going to write about today. I figured I’d just go, turn on the computer, and it would come to me. And it did. I tried to get on the internet and for some reason my PC would not connect to my network. I checked my router and my modem, and everything was fine over their. So, I got frustrated with it, and decided to use my MacBook Pro. Of course everything worked fine the moment I turned it on. So I decided to write about the advantages and disadvantages about both Apple and Windows.
Let’s start with our examination on Windows. Windows is currently the most common operating system used by consumers, but Mac is definitely catching up. If you use Windows, you especially need to use caution when downloading things off the internet. Windows is definitely not as stable as Mac, and therefore is susceptible to Viruses, Spyware, Trojans, etc.. Besides bad security, Windows has done a terrible job with their software updates. I remember getting notified of an update that was available for my PC, so I installed it, and had to go and update like 5 other things because there were compatibility issues. Then, the next week there would be another update trying to fix the harm that the previous one did. Below I have posted a video that, I think, is quite humorous when Bill Gates is giving a news demo on Windows 98.
Although Windows has come a long way from 98, it still has done a great job at creating new problems for it’s users.
Now that I have talked about the cons to a PC, now let’s talk about the pros. They make a great budget PC. Did you honestly think their were more?
Moving right along to the benefits of a Mac. Like I said before, the operating system is much, much more sable then Windows, and is practically immune to Viruses, Spyware, or anything of the sort. When using a Mac, you can rest assured that you are secure when surfing the internet. I have also noticed a big difference in how fast my internet connection is between the Mac and the PC, and their connected to the same network. Although Mac carries a higher price tag, it will last you a lot longer then any PC you will ever buy. I hope to encourage you to make the move from PC to Mac, and make your life a lot easier.
Oh no, I almost forgot about the cons to a Mac. Mac has something like the blue screen of death. Only it’s called the black screen of death, and it goes away simply by turning your computer on. =)
