Virtual Fireplace
There’s no more need for an expensive fireplace that takes time to clean up and maintain. This new, improved, ingenious heater was created by the Japanese so that more apartments can have that same warm and cozy feeling without a fireplace. It may look like a cross between an LCD display and a space heater, but the display part of the gadget actually shows
a “real” fireplace. The end result is that you get to imagine that your (really tiny) Japanese apartment has a fireplace in it while you’re warming up your fingers and toes during the long Kyoto winters. For just 25,800 yen ($242) you could own one of these yourself. I personally can’t wait until HD comes out.
